Pastoral letter for the clergy

Dear bishops, religious and priests!

This year we celebrate the 1025th anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Russia by St. Vladimir. In the Lenten period we turn our eyes to the crucified Jesus. We perceive the importance of our own baptism as well as of Christianity in Ukraine, Russia and Belarus. This year our Slavonic nations are exposed to strong pressure of demoralization connected with changes in legislation aimed at globalization and reduction of mankind, in other words autogenocide of nations. This is done above all by way of establishing gender ideology which destroys all moral, spiritual and Christian values. It advocates gender-reassignment surgery and, moreover, according to this ideology children in kindergartens are taught that they are neither boys nor girls but can choose who they want to be. That’s loss of reason !
Gender ideology goes hand in hand with the crimes of the juvenile justice system which steals children from any family on fabricated charges and gives them to homosexuals or paedophiles or even for the sale of organs. These crimes against humanity, this satanization of the formerly Christian nations, are caused by the fallen-away Western Catholic hierarchy. This hierarchy is hypocritically silent on these crimes and is most to blame for them due to proclamation of heresies. Modern heresies deny the redemptive death of Christ, His historical and real resurrection and even divine inspiration of the Holy Scripture. The apostate hierarchy and the last Popes are guilty of syncretism with the spirit of Assisi – the spirit of neopaganism. According to Gal 1:8-9, they are under God’s curse – anathema. As early as 2008, Head of the UGCC Cardinal Husar fell under an anathema by reason of heresies denying the essence of Christianity. An apostatical gesture similar to that of Assisi was made by Patriarch Kyrill in Astana on 30 May 2012. He likewise fell under an anathema along with all those who are in unity with him.

What should the priests do as part of the preparations for the renewal of baptism in this jubilee year for the sake of spiritual resurrection of the Church and nation? They must start a reform. All saints started a reform with themselves. Two examples : One priest who became addicted to alcohol, together with three other priests with the same problem, made a promise to God, for a period of three months at first, to devote four hours every week to prayer and God’s Word in common. In the first hour they confessed their sins, praised God for His mercy and love and prayed to Him for protection in the future. In the second hour they prayed 15 minutes for each of them personally. They all sincerely confessed the temptations in their thoughts in relation to alcohol and all manifestations of selfishness and pride. They repented and prayed to God for deliverance. In the third hour they read a passage from the Scripture and reflected on it in a short prayer in common. Then they shared their testimony of what God revealed to them through the Word for exhortation, consolation or edification. The fourth hour was spent in fellowship at the table during a light meal. They shared experience from the previous week and discussed positive and negative aspects – in relation to themselves, other people and God. It never lasted one hour only but usually more than two hours. This fellowship was based on the consciousness of their own misery and desire for deliverance. They awaited their deliverance from Jesus and the means to this end was fellowship, prayer and God’s Word. The early Christian community was based on the same foundation (Acts 2:42) and God worked great wonders and miracles.

After three months they made a promise to God for another three months and then for half a year. They wouldn’t miss the meetings at any cost. Jesus delivered them all from the addiction within a year. And not only that. The fruit was also a spiritual awakening in their parishes. In the following year, each of them found three men in his parish with whom they spent one year devoting themselves to prayer and God’s Word. A year later these men found several others and after three years there was a sound core of several men who became the closest co-workers of the parish priest, carrying out mission to revive the whole parish.

Another example is the practice of our community of bishops and monks founded on prayer and God’s Word. We celebrate the seventh day together. On Saturday evening, after 9 p.m., we reflect on God’s almightiness manifested not only in the creation but even in the resurrection of Christ which relates to us too ( Sunday is the Lord’s Day when we commemorate Christ’s resurrection and the descent of the Holy Spirit. On Sunday morning, from 5 to 7 a.m., we reflect on six truths related to the Resurrection (, Between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m., we reflect on the descent of the Holy Spirit ( Thereafter we celebrate Divine Liturgy for the faithful. So it is not until Sunday evening that we gather together in one place. Some even have to travel more than a hundred kilometres. From 8 to 9 p.m., we reflect on the passage speaking of Christ appearing to the Apostles and then to Thomas in particular ( Then we spend above all Monday in fellowship, devoting ourselves to prayer and God’s Word. From 6 to 7 a.m. – an hour of intensive prayer. This is followed by a short testimony (15 minutes); liturgy at 7:30 a.m. 9-10 a.m. – another hour of prayer. 10-11 a.m. – we share testimonies and spiritual experience. 11:20-12:00 – a prophetic prayer acc. Ezek 37. 12:00-12:20 – a short testimony after the prayer. 12:30-1 p.m. – a battle prayer.

We repeat a petition for 15 minutes in faith and then for 15 minutes we sing and praise the Lord for hearing our prayer. 1-3 p.m. – rest time. 3-5 p.m. – preparation for Sunday homily in common. We read out the texts from the Scripture and pray over them for 40-60 minutes. Then we share how God spoke to us through the Word so that we can preach the living Word to the believers. 5-5:30 p.m. – supper (we observe fast from Sunday evening). 5:30-7 : 30 p.m. – we discuss topical issues concerning us and our believers. First we take down the points to be discussed. 8-9 p.m. – canonical hours and other prayers (the Rosary or in one’s own words). At 9 p.m. we give a blessing to the four cardinal points. On Tuesday : 6-7 a.m. – common prayers, then testimony, liturgy, 8:30 – breakfast, 9-10 a.m. – prayer, testimony, 11:20-12:00 – prophetic prayer acc. Ezek 37, testimony, 12:30-1 p.m. – battle prayer, 1-1 : 30 p.m. – lunch and end.

The Apostles said : “We will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” The life of God’s servant is a hard fight for the salvation of his own soul and of the souls entrusted to him. Concerning one-hour prayer, it is divided into three parts, 15 minutes each (see Four Words from Ukraine : Contemplative prayer, Concerning the spiritual programme for the celebration of Sunday, see If You implement this spiritual programme, You will thus create the conditions for the Holy Spirit and for the spiritual resurrection of Your parishes or dioceses. Your prayer fellowship will give rise to a new generation of priests who will pave the way for the spiritual resurrection of both the Church and nation.

And the spiritually slain by various ideologies or heretical theologies will stand up on their feet as a great army (cf. Ezek 37). Without prayer and God’s Word priests are threatened by the spirit of heresy, mammon, immorality and career. The celebrations of the anniversary of the baptism of Kievan Russia shall culminate on Saturday 27 July 2013 and Sunday 28 July 2013, which is the feast of St. Vladimir. On Saturday, a horse will drag the symbol of Perun which will be cast into the Dnieper as it was done in the time of St. Vladimir. There will be 5 more symbols of demons which will be symbolically set on fire and the ashes will also be poured into the Dnieper. The first one will represent the demon of gender ideology and moral perversion. The second one will symbolize the demon of juvenile justice, child kidnapping and child abuse. The third one will symbolize the demon of euthanasia, drug abuse and alcoholism. The fourth one will represent the demon of chip implantation with the number of the beast (666). The fifth one will stand for the antichrist whose representatives are above all churchmen who adopted heresies and the spirit of neopaganism (historical-critical theology, Assisi, Astana). After this gesture, representatives of the three nations – Ukraine, Russia and Belarus – shall descend into the Dnieper and a bishop present shall highlight the essence of baptism and appeal to all people who will watch this event on TV to make a sign of the cross three times in token of the renewal of their baptism. This would be the culmination of breaking with neopaganism and renewing the baptism in the same spirit as it was done by St. Vladimir more than a thousand years ago. The celebrations shall continue on Sunday by solemn Liturgies not only in Kiev but in all Christian churches of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus and by demonstrations. After the Liturgy, Christians shall take to the streets with placards. The slogans should express the renouncement of neopaganism and demons whose symbols were burnt in Kiev. Other slogans should emphasize the positive aspect – restoration of God’s laws which had always been the foundation of civilized and Christian Europe. Christians shall joyfully celebrate the renewal of the baptism under the slogan: Restoration of the family – resurrection of the nation !

The starting point of the celebration of the anniversary was the consecration of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus to the Mother of God in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on 8 January 2013. The first stage of spiritual preparations started with the Lenten period and will last until Easter. On Easter Monday, after the Liturgy, Christians should come out with placards like on the feast of St. Vladimir and thus express the joy of spiritual resurrection and the faith that God will save our nations. These demonstrations with the purpose of waking Christians and the entire nation from a stupor should be held regularly every year on the following feasts : – Synaxis of the Most Holy Mother of God (8 January)

Easter Monday – Feast of St. Vladimir (28 July)
Feast of the Protecting Veil of the Mother of God (14 October)

In connection with spiritual preparations for the renewal of baptism, the Byzantine Catholic Patriarchate presents seven successive biblical lectures focused on the essence of Christianity and practical conversion (see fkievan- rus). The essence of baptism is that we have put on Christ. In solemn Byzantine liturgy we say: “As many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” And next, God’s Word says that we were buried with Christ through baptism into death and also given a new life, the life of Christ (cf. Rom 6:3-5). Christ dwells in our hearts through faith. He rose from the dead and thus confirmed His Divinity. He will raise to life our Church and nation.

Every priest should be aware of the tragic situation when the nations of Kievan Russia are under threat of moral, spiritual and physical autogenocide. The responsibility for the Church and nation falls on every member of the clergy. God wants to save these Slavonic nations but the condition is to make a promise to God for one year: to devote one hour every day to God in personal prayer. Start! Make this promise today and start this one-hour prayer today! Persevere throughout the year !

Christ is risen ! He is risen indeed !
